Per Porsche’s description of the collaboration on YouTube, “The Sally Special is a true one-of-a-kind vehicle with exclusive Sally Blue Metallic paint, 996 Turbo design wheels, badges, seat trims, and much more. Sally will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s on 20 August 2022, with all proceeds donated to The UN Refugee Agency and Girls Inc. to help children to learn and grow.”

According to its website, “The UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization working to save lives, protect rights and build a better future for refugees, internally displaced communities, and stateless people.” They add, “We work to ensure that everybody has the right to seek asylum and find refuge from violence or persecution.” The website further states that more than 100 million people have been forced to flee war, conflicts, and persecution from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen, and other parts of the world; they thereby need protection, shelter, access to clean water, health care, education, and jobs.

The organization invites donations that help to provide protection, shelter, and other forms of assistance for displaced people. They ensure that these funds are redirected to refugees, stateless persons, and asylum seekers. You can learn more and read about the agency’s Global Report here. The UN Refugee Agency says that monthly gifts help us save more families forced to flee, and making a monthly donation, will provide refugees with ongoing relief and protection as well as help them regain hope for a better future. The Pixar and Porsche collaboration also supports Girls Inc., which was founded in 1864, and through the decades the organization has adapted to meet specific challenges facing young women. The website says, “Although times have changed, Girls Inc. has always been and will always be about girls.” It hopes to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, through direct service and advocacy.
