The Pink Ball is a fundraising charity gala held on October 13 at Shangri-La The Fort. Hosted by Tessa Prieto and Tim Yap, the gala was organized for the benefit of the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. (Kasuso Foundation) which has raised nearly P10 million at the time of this writing to support 6,500 free mammograms for underprivileged women. “The Pink Month” was kicked off on October 6th, where the Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) partnered with SM Cares by hosting a press preview event and inviting advocates and medical experts to share their knowledge and experiences. For the entire month of October, the SM Mall of Asia Globe, SM Seaside City Cebu, the Time Sculpture at SM Megamall, and several LED screens at SM Supermalls will feature the campaign messaging to advance the awareness for the cause.

“Look Good, Feel Good” was held on October 7 and 8 where the ELC hosted wellness talks for breast cancer survivors in partnership with the ICanServe and Kasuso Foundations. The talks were held at the Mega Atrium in SM Megamall where attendees received complimentary makeup services and pampering sessions from ELC employee volunteers.

Educational seminars will also be scheduled throughout the month of October, where partner doctors will conduct educational talks focusing on prevention and early detection to all ELC and retail partner employees.

Furthermore, in line with the company’s social impact pillar, the ELC will be donating P800,000 to San Juan Medical Center for purchase of a bio-hood machine, which will help augment the cost of chemotherapy treatments for their patients.
