The Peninsula Manila Turns Pink for a Cause This October
October 8, 2018
Every October, premiere luxury hotel The Peninsula Manila turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Currently on its eighth year, the Peninsula in Pink Campaign aims to raise funds and awareness for the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. through memorable promos and pink-infused dining experiences.
“In Southeast Asia, the Philippines has the highest incidence of breast cancer,” shared Mr. Mark Choon, The Peninsula Manila’s General Manager. “One in every 13 Filipinos fall victim to it and as a man, a brother, a son, a husband and the general manager of an institution that has worked for 42 years with various local organizations to help make a difference in the lives of Filipino people, I believe very strongly in the fight against this terrible disease.”
To support this imitative, there will be a number of events and promos at the hotel that guests can enjoy for a good cause. The first is at The Lobby, where there will be a special Pretty in Pink Afternoon Tea set available, featuring rose-tinted confections and savory sweets for PHP 1,400 net. Guests can also opt to pair their afternoon tea with a chilled flute of rosé champagne for PHP 1,900 net. Tea selections at the Lobby are artisan creations, and have been blended by the Peninsula’s tea masters. With every purchase of this set, guests will receive a limited edition Peninsula in Pink pen, and a donation of P100 will be made to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc.
