The Mourning After: Lessons on Moving Forward from Those Who Tasted Bitter Defeat - Meaningful Life

Keep moving forward, folks.

In the morning after of an election, there will always be those who are heartbroken.

By definition, a competition will always have losers. And in society’s toughest, bloodiest contest, losing hits hard and the repercussions last years, if not a lifetime.

Still, even for those who lose, life must continue after morning. And while it might be hard to get right back up, time moves forward, and so must you eventually.

Fighting for what you believe in, after all, do not start and end with elections. Positive change only happens when whatever movement you formed persists despite tasting bitter defeat.

And perhaps those with the most valuable insight remains the person who did not get the mandate of the people in one way or another. Here are just six example:
