The Limit Does Not Exist: Art In The Park Will Include an NFT Marketplace For The First Time - Arts & Culture

The art fair hits it out of the park.

The 16th edition of Art in the Park will take place virtually from April 24 to May 1, showcasing exhibits online through its official website.

For the first time, an NFT marketplace will join over 61 galleries, art schools, independent spaces, and collectives in the weeklong event.

The art fair will present a face-to-face lineup of events and exhibits at Makati’s Jaime C. Velasquez Park live on April 28.

Special exhibits

Husband and wife Rodel Tapaya and Marina Cruz will present solo projects that display their ongoing experimentation with different media. Tapaya will present nine artworks for “Chicken Army” and Cruz will display 11 works for “Imprinted Musings.”

Meanwhile, Jaime Velasquez Park visitors will be able to view the live installation by Studio 1616 artists known as “Reflect Deflect.” This uses steel and mirrors as reflective surfaces that encourage visitors to closely examine themselves.

Lastly, Art in the Park and Globe Platinum will present 100 pieces for part two of Filipino street artist Distort Monster’s ongoing project “Monster Mayhem MegaMash.” The project’s monsters will be available on the website as giclee prints that contain unique QR codes that enable buyers to onboard images as NFTs once activated.
