Just as importantly, this holiday season, please help raise awareness about HIV by talking to your friends and family, helping to break down the stigma. According to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, “30 years ago, @eltonjohn founded @ejaf to give back and advocate for the communities impacted by #HIV and #AIDS. Since then, we’ve saved over 5 million lives around the world. But we still have a long way to go.

With your help, we are determined to overcome all remaining obstacles to end AIDS worldwide. Head to the link in our bio to find out how you can support our life-saving work.”

The website states, “The Elton John AIDS Foundation was established in 1992 and is one of the leading independent AIDS organisations in the world. The Foundation’s mission is simple: to be a powerful force in the end to the AIDS epidemic. We are committed to no more discrimination. No more HIV infections. No more AIDS deaths. No matter who or where you are.”

Elton John shares on Instagram, @ejaf has been an important part of my life for the past 30 years — a mission I set out on in 1992 to bring an end to the suffering and loss caused by HIV/AIDS. I’m incredibly grateful to my dear friends and fans who have supported our work over the years and hope you’ll join us this holiday season in giving back to the communities who need it most.

Thanks to @OliverWymanConsulting and @MercerConsulting, each gift made until December 31, up to $10,000, will be doubled. Going twice as far and having twice the impact.”

So far The Elton John AIDS Foundation has saved 5 million lives, raised $525 million worldwide, and supported 3,000 projects to date, but still has a long way to go, according to EJAF.
