Shopping for a Cause at Pottery Barn Over Unlimited Laughs and Bubbly -

Pottery Barn’s Sips x Social series continued with an afternoon shopping party at the Estancia store for the benefit of the Angels to Street Kids foundation. Ladies wore printed dresses as they sipped on glasses of vino as they browsed through the store. Hosts Linda Ley and Yoli Ayson welcomed their closes friends to the affair. Themselves, active members of the foundation, they were proud to be collaborating with the SSI home décor store to support a cause they feel strongly about. Angels for Street Kids was founded by a group of friends who organizes feeding programs for underprivileged children living in marginalized areas in the country. “We are an informal group of civic-minded citizens who want to help street kids and the elderly,” group member Mayenne Carmona mentioned in an interview with Lifestyle Asia last October.

The brand’s sister companies Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm was onboard for a special activity at the afternoon shopping event. Guests were invited to pair up and create a tablescape for a special prize. Potter Barn’s selection of premium home items, Potter Barn Kids’ colorful contemporary pieces, and the eco-friendly, industrial furnishings from West Elm were all available for their use.

The fun continued over clanking glasses of wine as those who attended got creative and competitive. John Paras and Ofie Wadle chose to design a formal table setup. Pinky Antonio and Janice de Belen put together an elegant, high tea setting. Len Olbes and Candy Huang chose a motif inspired by the beach. Suzette Lopez and Mayenne Carmona choose to do a design inspired by afternoon picnics, and Tanya Yu and Jen Chan did a children’s party tablescape.

Pink and Janice were the eventual victors. Their simple, yet elegant setup sat upon a round wooden table adorned with blooms. Dainty teacups were present, while pastries and macrons sat on cake holders. The palette on the table was colorful and eye-catching: chargers were green, the tablemat was blue and napkins were in a bright orange. At the middle of the setup was a bottle of rose champagne, an appealing centerpiece sure to make any passerby thirsty.
