She's Back: Adele Releases Her First Single In Years, But Her Millions Never Left - Lifestyle Asia

Adele just released her first single, “Easy On Me,” from her fourth album, 30.

At midnight UK time (7 A.M. Philippine time), British singer and songwriter Adele released her newest single, “Easy On Me,” and its official music video. The ballad is part of the multi-time Grammy winner’s fourth album titled 30, as her previous LPs, her latest one is named after the age of when she wrote it.

In her cover story interview for the November 2021 issue of British Vogue, the now 33-year-old reveals that the album is a love letter to her son, Angelo.

“I wanted to put it on the album to show Angelo [how] I expect him to treat his partner,” Adele said in the interview. “After going through a divorce, my requirements are sky-high. There’s a very big pair of shoes to fill.”

Adele divorced charity CEO Simon Konecki in 2019. With her to-be-released set of songs, she hopes Angelo will find clarity on why his parents parted ways when he’s in his “twenties or thirties.”

Her new album will be out on November 19—Adele’s first project in six years since her last album, 25. However, despite the hiatus, the singer has been raking in millions of dollars in the past years.

Maintained net worth

“Hello,” Adele’s emotion-fueled track from 25 stayed in the number one spot in the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 10 weeks straight in 2015. Since the success of the single and entire album (it won Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year), Adele stepped away from the limelight.

Even though she called herself “unemployed” in the years she wasn’t making music, Adele’s net worth equals $190 million this year.

According to YahooLife, the chunk of the sum comes from concerts. The “Chasing Pavements” singer’s last tour, which ran for two years since her last album dropped, earned $252 million (almost P13 billion).

Millions a night

Of course, not all of that money goes to talent. However, the 33-year-old performs for her shows and stands as the production company’s director, which presents her tours.

If we’re only talking about how much Adele makes as the headliner of each show, it’s $685,000 (over 34.7 million) per night.

The travelling concerts, which ran from February 2016 to June 2017, produced 121 concerts in Europe, North America, and Oceania. From just the tour titled Adele Live alone, the London native earned at least $82.8 million (over P4.2 billion)..

Currently, Adele is dating a fellow multi-millionaire, American sports agent Rich Paul. The latter founded Klutch Sports Group, representing some of the biggest names in basketball, such as Lebron James, John Wall, and Anthony Davis.

Paul has an estimated net worth of $100 million.

With Adele’s newest LP coming out next month and a rumored Las Vegas residency, we can expect Adele’s mammoth yearly salary only to increase.
