Potent potions: Our Favorite Face Oils Right Now - Mirror,Mirror

They should always cap off your skincare routine at night as it provides noticeable results the morning after.

There are a bunch of reasons why face oils should be part of your skin regime. I have been a fan of night oils ever since and I have tried quite a few. These oils provide benefits that creams don’t have.

Oils have been an important part of my nightly and day skin regimen. However tired or in a hurry I am, I have to apply my facial oil. This ensures that my skin looks refreshed, radiant, supple, and nurtured the moment I wake up in the morning and throughout the day.

This should be the last step in your skincare regime to lock in moisture, keeping everything underneath soft and hydrated. It contains key Ingredients to make your skin stay plum and radiant for years to come.

Here are a few facial oils that have become new favorites:

La Prairie Skin Caviar Night Time Oil

The most recent one I have tried is this newly launched La Prairie Skin Caviar Night Time Oil, which I now swear by. When I started using it, everyone kept on noticing how my skin glowed and looked fresh the next day. I have influenced several of my friends to actually try and buy it.

This night time oil is concentrated with Caviar Retinol, a new Swiss discovery. This rare natural retinol is coveted for its line-smoothing efficacy and ability to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The oil also serves as a barrier to prevent excessive water loss while moisturizing the skin. This exclusive cellular complex gives new life and energy back to the skin giving it a rejuvenated appearance.

The Lamer Renewal Oil is one of the first facial oil I have ever tried. And it’s proven to be quite effective.  It is half the price of La Prairie, but it nonetheless works. I have seen celebrity makeup artists use this as a base to serve as a moisturizer before putting anything else on.

This renewal oil nourishes and sifts the skin for an instant glow. It floods the skin with hydration, making it soft and ultra-smooth, thus making it a great makeup base. Unlike La Prairie, this can be used in the evening and morning to achieve that glow with translucency and radiant looking skin. It improves the overall firmness and softens lines and wrinkles.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Oil

I know quite a few night owls who use this product. One of the oils that has been a staple in my bathroom is Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate. It is only a fraction of the price of the La Prairie and Lamer oils, but it can still be quite effective.

One of its major claims is that it is paraben-, silicone-, alcohol-, and mineral oil-free. This oil is infused with Lavender Essential Oil and Evening Primrose Oil. Like the others, it restores skin radiance, visibly reduces fine lines, firms up the skin, and makes skin younger-looking by morning.

Marula oil has been known to be rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and amino acids.  It had its share of prominence in the last years as it is also widely-used as an ingredient in many skincare products. It is most beneficial for oily, acne-prone, dry and aging skin.

Of course, it also softens and keeps the skin moisturized. Drunk Elephant’s Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil is packed with antioxidants like vitamin E, omega-6, and nine fatty acids. This facial oil acts like a daily multivitamin for the face. Since it’s great for sensitive skin, this makes a good facial oils option.

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil

Another of my favorite skincare brands is Sisley. You can never go wrong with this brand as it presents an extensive array of products that are effective, and that I have personally tried and tested.

Sisley’s Black Rose Precious Face Oil is its first skincare oil, and is meant for dry or mature skin. It is infused with Bulgarian rose, camelina, plum, and avocado oils, giving your skin an instant glow. It is also rich in omega 3 and 6 and has a powerful blend of plant-based ingredients. Because of this, your skin is nourished and protected, which are important to maintain its vitality and youthfulness. This oil visibly smoothens wrinkles and fine lines, and revitalizes the skin for a radiant complexion.

CBD or Cannabidiol skincare has been growing in popularity. It is actually everywhere these days, from gummies to capsules to, of course, skincare. Although I haven’t tried using one, I have heard that CBD is an effective skin care product.

According to Dr. Daniel Frey, an owner and aesthetician at Bloom Skincare Mendocino, “CBD is an incredibly effective ingredient in skincare due to it being a powerful antioxidant and providing anti-inflammatory benefits.” Lord Jones CBD face oil contains a trifecta of tea tree oil, blue tansy, and CBD, leaving the skin calm and soothed. It is also believed that it is advisable to be used during summer when pores tend to be clogged.
