Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey travel to the breathtaking Maldives—and we can’t get enough of their stunning photos.
These days, traveling is even more of a luxury in the time of the pandemic. In the early days of the quarantine, we can only reminisce about the wonderful trips we used to take before the coronavirus outbreak. But now the world is slowly adapting, we are learning to safely travel to both our favorite and our dream destinations once again. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and her partner Jeremy Jauncey crossed borders to visit the Maldives. By following safety precautions, they enjoyed the stunning views, immersive dining experience in the resort, and the pristine blue waters surrounding the island.
A surprise travel
On her Instagram, Pia reveals how Jeremy gave the Maldives trip as a gift. The former Miss Universe was enthused as this was her first time exploring the favored tourist destination. However, since the pandemic, traveling is taken with much precaution. Thankfully, airlines like Etihad Airways carry out the strictest safety measures and offer global wellness insurance on top of a personal travel one. Pia and Jeremy felt comfortable and safe flying out to the Maldives.
Return to paradise
Once there, the two couldn’t hold back from soaking up the cool breeze and the exhilarating sceneries. They are currently staying at Joali, situated in Muravandhoo Island, north of Maldives. The island resort is nestled in the Indian Ocean and so Pia and Jeremy can easily bask in the peacefulness. Whether walking along the white sand beaches with coconut palms or swimming in the brilliant blue ocean waters, there is much to enjoy in the resort.
Apart from savoring the beauty of nature, Joali offers invigorating experiences through their internationally-known Espa Spa. Their treatments are equally essential to refresh and renew the mind, body, and soul, especially while dealing with the stresses of the pandemic’s impact.
As Pia and Jeremy continue to enjoy their stay in the Maldives, we can’t wait to learn more about this island paradise. Seeing their photos alone incites our desire to travel again and create these wonderful memories. Who knows, our future trips might be much more thrilling once we rise together from the pandemic. For now, one thing’s for certain—the Maldives is at the top of our post-pandemic dream destinations.
