The singer and former One Direction member uploaded a 31-second clip of him singing the band’s 2014 hit “Night Changes.”

He originally recorded the song’s bridge and the first half of the opening verse. Now, he sang the chorus, which former bandmate Harry Styles led in the original.

In less than 24 hours, the video has since gained over 20 million views on Instagram alone.

Fans complimented Malik’s voice and pointed out how it’s his second time in 2022 to throwback a One Direction song.

Previously in June, Malik also posted a video of him singing the high note in One Direction’s 2014 song “You & I.”

“If I had a nickel for every time Zayn sang a One Direction song in 2022, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice,” one Instagram user commented.

Malik became the first member to leave One Direction after his official exit in March 2015.

His latest uploads have only fueled nostalgia for the band, as well as speculation of a possible reunion.
