This marks a new annual record, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

This comes after the Silver State benefited from a 22-month streak of over $1 billion in revenue.

“The year wasn’t a surprise. We knew we were going to set a record for a couple of months,” Nevada Gaming Control Board senior economic analyst Michael Lawton said.

The state had already surpassed its 2021 record as early as November 2022. However, December proved to be a record-setting month alone. Here, casinos recorded $1.3 billion in revenue.

“It’s a great year in terms of a comeback and showing the strength of our gaming-tourism industry,” Lawton said.
