The second season premiered on Friday, May 13. Since then, social media users have aired their frustrations about binge-watching all eight new episodes only to learn that Evangelista made no appearance.

“Follows LA’s wildly wealthy Asian and Asian American fun seekers as they go all out with fabulous parties, glamour, and drama in this reality series,” reads the show’s Netflix synopsis.

Evangelista previously drew wide speculation to appear on Bling Empire after posting photos together with stars Kelly Mi Li and Kane Lim.

She captioned these posts with “good times and kinda crazy friends” as well as “bling.”

Lim even responded positively in his own post by saying Evangelista is a proper representative of the Philippines.

“Heart Evangelista, you ready? You epitomize what [the Philippines] means to me. A country with heart and kindness. A true beauty inside and outside. Perfection!” Lim wrote.

Mi Li also invited followers to watch Evangelista’s show I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.

No denial nor confirmation

During a press conference for the said television show in February, Evangelista even confirmed filming for a Netflix show: “I can’t say if it’s Bling [Empire] or something else but definitely, I did film for a show on Netflix.”

Moreover, the Filipino actress answered a direct question by TMZ whether she would appear on Bling Empire.

“Whatever it is, this is for the Filipinos,” Evangelista said in the video interview.

She even shared the said video on her personal account.

Meanwhile, Bling Empire’s new season has not generated enough ratings yet to calculate a score or critics consensus yet on Rotten Tomatoes.

Joel Keller of Decider, however, said the second season features “more of the same opulence, over-the-top, parties and petty fights.”
