With a brand new perspective and an emboldened stance that represents the vibrant spirit of New York City, Michael Kors reinvigorates the scene with a nature-inspired palette and a philanthropic vision.

In a pre-recorded runway show, Alek Wek, Sabina Karlsson, Julia Nobis, Saskia de Brauw, Mayowa Nicholas, Hiandra Martinez, Grace Elizabeth, and other statuesque models graced the runway at a New York Restoration Project garden on Anderson Avenue in the Highbridge neighborhood of Bronx, New York. Urban nature was the theme of the latest collection of the American creative director. Giving a breath of fresh air to city living, Michael Kors presented looks that effortlessly transition from day to evening, with clean silhouettes in summer fabrics that exude simplicity amidst functional luxury.

“I designed this season with more thought and more intent than anything I’ve ever done,” said Michael Kors. “We were all forced to slow down this year, and I think we all started to appreciate things in a new way—suddenly, a flower blooming, a beautiful sunset, a walk along the river, these were things that brought us hope. I wanted to look at nature and rebirth through an urban lens.”

Paying tribute to his beloved city where he grew up, learned the ropes, and ultimately became successful, Michael Kors supported the community by donating to both New York Restoration Project and the Renaissance Youth Center. The Renaissance Youth Center provides enrichment programs, from performing arts to sports to education assistance, that aim to empower at-risk inner-city youth and help them maximize their potential. The philanthropic gesture supports the center’s “Music on Wheels” initiative, which helps local school institutions that lack music programs by enriching its musical curriculum.

MICHAEL KORS is located at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central, Greenbelt 5, Newport Mall, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati, and Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
