Serve her the Pen’s famous afternoon tea 

One comforting Makati tradition that is sorely missed is enjoying afternoon tea and cakes at the Pen lobby. Well, the 44-year-old luxury hotel curated a menu for Mother’s Day to gift your mom this weekend. Called Peninsula Cake Afternoon Tea Set, it comes in a signature box and includes the following: Herbed Cream Cheese & Cucumber, Devilled Egg Sandwich with Paprika, Brioche Bun, Turkey Ham, Cheese, Lettuce, Spinach, Sun-dried Tomato and Roasted Capsicum Quiche, Peninsula Raisin Scone, Lemon Curd, Strawberry Jam, clotted cream, Banana Bread, Raspberry Éclair, Hazelnut Chocolate Bar, and Calamansi Macaron.

For something heavier, the Pen also came up with full set menus that includes hearty fare such as Herb Crusted Australian Lamb Rack, Norwegian Salmon Wellington, and Cebu Pork Belly Lechon. Platters are also available, from Pancit Luglug, Beef Short Ribs Kare-Kare, and Bistek Tagalog.

Enjoy a meal under the stars or in Hilton Manila’s Vubble Pods

This week, guests can dine with loved ones selecting from either the gourmet “Vubble” Premium menu or Cabana Deluxe Menu. You can either have them at the hotel’s unique air conditioned Vubble Pods, or al fresco at their poolside cabanas. Diners may also order a bouquet of flowers, champagne, and or a Mother’s Day-inspired cake. The full menu may be viewed here. Prior reservation is required. Prices start at P9,500 for two persons at the cabanas and P16,500 for the Vubbles.

Those who want to celebrate without leaving their house can order the hotel’s Crispy Bagnet Kare Kare with Bok Choy, Grilled Norwegian Salmon with Mushroom Cream and Fragrant Tea Smoked Duck through Bring Hilton Home menu. A minimum 24-hours pre-order is required.

You don’t have to trek all the way to Pasay to enjoy your favorites from Sofitel Manila as the luxury hotel just launched their first cloud kitchen, Easy Peasy. By just going on their Facebook page or through delivery platforms, Sofitel treats such as their signature chocolate chip cookies, French croissant, pain au chocolat, their pizza and pasta menu, Hainanese chicken, Thai red beef curry, Tex-Mex staple slow-cooked steak fajitas, and prime US-grade Rib Eye steak, to name a few.
