Style Icon Iris Apfel Is the New Face of Magnum - LA Wine & Dine

With bright colors and a wide smile, Magnum unveils Iris Apfel as their new muse for their 2019 campaign. In their newly released campaign portraits, Apfel exudes the fun-loving energy she has been known for. Along with her signature fashion style, the 97-year old icon truly evokes Magnum’s mantra of #TrueToPleasure.

Magnum chooses ambassadors who live freely and stay true to their pleasure making Apfel a perfect fit for the brand. She joins the likes of Cara Delevingne and Bella Hadid in their muse roster, bringing a new take on what #TrueToPleasure means.

Iris Apfel rose to style prominence as far back as the 1950s. Running a textile firm with her husband led her to lead design restoration projects for the White House. These projects spanned nine presidents (Truman to Clinton). An interior designer by profession, Apfel’s world travels opened her to many eccentric fashion pieces that she would buy and collect over time. This collection would lead to her iconic colorful outfits which she would flaunt at prominent client parties – attended by the likes of Estée Lauder and Greta Garbo.

Her impact has led her to be immortalized as a Barbie doll in 2018, a modelling contract with IMG models just this year, and the new face of Magnum – proving that staying true to your pleasure has no limits.
