The Redesigned Capucines Bags of Louis Vuitton is a Stunning Art Project

This season, it is common to embrace fall colors like burnt orange, navy blue, and gray. Adding a burst of bright color to your apparel can lighten the mood. Yet donning on different hues is not enough. Accessories and bags with unique designs can certainly elevate your look. Louis Vuitton gathered six artists to collaborate and redesign their Capucines bags. From classically shaped totes, the bags carry new designs like solid bright colors and vibrant wave patterns. The new Capucines bag collection is essential for every sophisticated woman.

An art project

Louis Vuitton unveils the that transformed the classic Capucines bag. Contemporary artists Sam Falls, Nicholas Hlobo, Jonas Wood, Urs Fischer, Tschabalala Self, and Alex Israel brought their own style into the new Capucines bag collection. From the embroidery, collage, dye, to the style of weaving, the artists combined their eye and talent to create something new. For Alex, he placed his signature wave pattern on the bag. “We’re a beach culture here in Southern California, and waves dictate the rhythm and pace of L.A. life,” he explains. Thus, they added a pair of fins to the bag to complete the theme.

Likewise, Urs Fischer transformed his renowned fruit sculptures into dangling charms. He retained the classic shape of the Capucines but added a modern take through “.” The hyper-realistic charms take the form of bananas, apples, eggs, carrots, and the like. Urs calls it “The Artycapucines” collection. These handcrafted sculptures add a cheerful, artistic vibe to the redesigned Capucines.
