When Louis Vuitton invites you to a shindig, you very well go. There is a promise of unmatched fashion moments, sightings of the country’s ultimate style mavens, and endless amounts of bubbly to go around. And that’s what we got, when we arrived at the Greenbelt 4 store for the launch of the men’s Fall-Winter 2018 pre-collection. Manila’s discriminating crowd occupied the three floors of the luxury fashion house, chattering over live music and admiring the latest line which invokes the hip streetwear of the millennial generation.

A neon sign reading “Louis Vuitton Forever” loomed over guests. Everybody agreed with the quote, making it one of the most photographed spots of the night. The original wooden floors were altered as well, with stick-on floors featuring rows upon rows of the brand’s iconic logo. LV also introduced Manila to Vivienne, their cute, new mascot, who was found enjoying the party in all corners of the space. Guests continued their merrymaking well into the evening, never forgetting to remind social media that they were the privileged crowd invited to attend such a fun together.
As for the clothes, how can one not be pumped by Louis Vuitton menswear? The swan song collection of Creative Director Kim Jones, he properly balances nostalgic sensibilities with modern silhouettes, making the new collection a must-have for any male fashion aficionado. And well, for the woman who love to wear their boyfriend’s oversized sweatshirts too. Statement pullovers and heavily monogrammed sneakers were notable pieces that continue to have us salivating even three days later. It was a night to remember—a type of soirée that only Louis Vuitton can throw.
