LOOK: About Last Night...#RandyO30 (in Pictures) - The Scene

Premiere Filipino designer Randy Ortiz celebrated 30 years in the fashion industry last night by premiering “Homage”, his latest collection that brings to the runway his signature styles (romantic silhouettes and sharp tailoring) from the last three decades, updating them for today’s millennials. Held at the Manila Peninsula’s Conservatory, the event did not only have a fashion presentation, but also an open bar and an art exhibit celebrating Randy’s craftsmanship as an artist. Manila stepped out to celebrate the designer, and Lifestyle Asia was there to document everything the entire night. Scroll down to see everything that went down during Randy Ortiz’s 30th anniversary party and fashion show…

The Conservatory at The Peninsula Manila was transformed into a large runway to showcase the 75-piece collection of Randy Ortiz. On the seats are Lifestyle Asia’s latest issue, the December 2018-January 2019 edition, which features Randy’s millennial muses on the cover.

The anniversary party started with the opening of a special art exhibit by The Artologist Gallery. Ten artists, namely Judeo Herrera, Julmard Vicente, Hiro Kawabata, Adam Nacianceno, Monnar, Fernando Antimano, Eman Santos, Dots Pilar, Valen Valera and Carlo Saavedra all created pieces to honor Randy’s artistry. Guests begin to arrive at the Peninsula for cocktail hour before the show. Fashion’s night out. Guests were asked to wear denim during Randy Ortiz’s 30th anniversary show. “I want everyone to be in their most comfortable clothes,” shared Randy. Jun Jun Ablaza, Pau Alberto and Brian Poe Llamanzares were few of the guests who rocked out their denim pieces. On the other hand, society icon Tessa Prieto-Valdes, chose to wear an all pink ensemble.

Designers supporting designers…we could feel the love for Randy Ortiz during his anniversary show. Several high profile fashion designers showed up to support their friend. Patty Ang and Rajo Laurel are photographed above.

The presentation of Randy Ortiz’s 75-piece collection entitled “Homage” began at 8PM. People love it. The runway was filled with Randy O signature styles like well-tailored suits and trousers, romantic silhouettes, prints and patterns, and beautiful embroidery. Randy chose the children of his favorite muses (all of which graces or have graced the cover of Lifestyle Asia). Photographed here are Sabina Gonzalez, Joshua Benipayo, Lorenzo Gonzalez and Juliana Gomez.
