The large amethyst and diamond cross made by Garrard (circa 1920) had an estimated value between 80,000 to 120,000 pounds.

The reality television star, however, purchased the item at 163,800 pounds with fees.

This will add to Kardashian’s collection of vintage pieces. This includes her Marilyn Monroe crystal-encrusted gown that she wore to the 2022 Met Gala.

Sotheby’s London head of jewelry Kristian Spofforth said jewelry owned or worn by the late princess rarely enter the market. Let alone the Attallah Cross.

“To some extent, this unusual pendant is symbolic of the princess’s growing self-assurance in her sartorial and jewelry choices. At that particular moment in her life,” Spofforth said.
