On February 25, 2020, the Widus Group unveiled Hann Resorts, a game-changer that offers an all-new integrated resort experience, aiming to be a world-class international destination. “Our vision is to raise the concept of play into a lifestyle that people would want to discover through world-class experiences,” Daesik Han, President, and CEO of Hann Development Corporation proudly said during the exclusive event launch. As the event continued to flow, Mr. Han expounded on their idea of Hann Resorts on being the “millionaire’s playground” by offering a curated mix of gaming, golf, nature and outdoors, entertainment and hospitality activities and experience.
The Hann Resorts is a collection of equally premium sub-brands: Hann Casino Resort and Hann Lux Lifestyle Resort. The Hann Casino Resort is the product of the rebranding of the Widus complex. In the last quarter of 2020, Hann Casino and the Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will be opened, while the Widus Hotel and Casino shall be converted to the Mercure Hotel after the renovation in 2022.
On the other hand, the Hann Lux Lifestyle Resort will offer three 18-hole championship golf courses. These will be designed by Nicklaus Design, KJ Choi and Sir Nick Faldo, who are awarded for their dedication to the game. With their collaboration, Hann Lux Lifestyle Resort will become the ultimate destination for a luxurious golf experience.
Together with these expansions and developments, the Hann Resorts will bring forth an award-winning luxury hospitality brand—Banyan Tree Hotel. Its relaxing wellness recreation facilities, tranquil pool villas, and a lavish tropical garden spa will make a perfect sanctuary for the senses. Another international brand to be brought here in the Philippines is the Angsana Hotel which will focus on a wide range of recreational activities, ideal for families or groups of friends.
The plans for this integrated resort will include Westin Hotel and The Luxury Collection by Marriott International to be built in the next phase. Westin Hotels and Resorts brand will house signature amenities to empower your well-being with their programs: RunWestin and Move Well, Eat Well and Sleep Well. The Luxury Collection will offer unique, authentic experiences that will evoke lasting memories.
While there are a lot of phases needed to complete these integrated lifestyle developments, Mr. Han remains to be positive.
