German Club Manila is Set to Hold the 80th Oktoberfest at Solaire Resort & Casino - The Scene

It’s never too early to report exciting news! Especially when it concerns the highly anticipated Oktoberfest event, hosted yearly by German Club Manila in the Philippines. The event has always been a yearly highlight for both Filipinos and the expat community, gathering good food, fine beer, and electrifying entertainment under one roof. This year, the organization has announced that Solaire Resort & Casino will be their official venue for the 80th Oktoberfest, set to be held from October 4 to 6 at the Oktoberfest Tent at Solaire.

“The German Club is a 112-year old membership club in Manila, and this year, we are celebrating our biggest Oktoberfest yet. We are very delighted to continue this tradition in the Philippines and celebrate the occasion with our Filipino friends. We are pleased to have a new partner in Solaire,” shared German Club President Tobias Rast in a statement.

Located at the vibrant Entertainment City, Solaire is an 8.3-hectare integrated destination resort with luxury facilities, extensive dining options, bars, lounges, and other venues. The addition of the yearly Oktoberfest is yet another way the hotel looks forward to entertaining their guests and giving them only the best of the best. “As one of the premier destination, we only aim to give the best experience to our guests. We are honored and trilled to be hosting this year’s Oktoberfest, and want to make it even more memorable by ensuring that everything’s authentic—the beers, the food, and the entertainment. It’ll truly put the spotlight on the best of German culture,” says Bastian Breuer, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Solaire Resort & Casino.

To transport Manila residents to Germany for the three-day beer festival, the hotel will be setting up a 2,400 square meter tent and filling it good food (such as the famous pork knuckles, homemade sausages and breads) and authentic Bavarian beer from Weihenstephaner, the world’s oldest brewery. The German Club Manila will arrange for the evening’s program, which will include Sound Express, who will fly in from Germany to perform at the event.
