Salcedo Auctions‘ subsidiary brand Gavel&Block partners with IWantToShare Foundation to hold its special benefit auction this year. The auction will feature works of established artists. The funds raised will help chosen organizations in their respective projects. Director of Salcedo Auctions Richie Lerma shares the auction hopes to not only raise funds and awareness. “[It is] also to remind collectors of the transformative and life-changing powers of the arts,” he says.

Creating ripples of change

Salcedo Auctions established the benefit auction in 2017. This year, they partnered with IWantToShare Foundation. They have been working with the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Department of Philippine General Hospital (PGH) since 2016. This is to help children with cancer in their medical needs through the funds of the auction.

IWantToShare Foundation President Sheila Bermudez-Romero shares their organization believes in leaving a legacy of giving back. Sheila says, “As we share the same values of determination, perseverance in achieving a goal, passion to help and of finding joy in service, we have become a channel of blessings and what we get back is truly priceless.”

On July 13, guests will have the chance to preview the auction pieces at NEX Tower of Ayala Avenue. They can also interact with child beneficiaries of PGH through a special art therapy session and program. Apart from exquisite jewelry and watches, the works of Philippine masters and contemporary artists will be on display starting July 14 to July 20 at 2 PM.
