“I switch up my workouts! Since I’m an indoor cycling instructor, I already get a lot of cardio, so I complement it with yoga, gym, or circuit training. It’s important to always keep my body challenged by not sticking to the same thing. Lately, I’ve stepped up on weight training, which has helped me become stronger in the bike room too! Find ways to excite yourself about working out—especially if it means trying new things.”

“I can’t go two days straight without breaking a sweat so I make sure to hit the gym, go boxing or run at least 5 kilometers to stay fit. I also watch what I eat as well no matter where I am.”

“It’s a combination of regular exercise and proper nutrition. I try to vary exercise by doing CrossFit three times a week, and then at least a weekly session of running and Muay Thai, with an occasional Nike Training Club (NTC), yoga, or Pilates class every now and then. I sincerely enjoy working out and it’s not something I just force myself to do. My primary goal is to be healthy and strong, and that’s enough motivation for me. As for nutrition, I don’t really have a diet and I eat everything! Unless of course I have specific goals or I’m competing for something. I eat moderately though and don’t binge. I stick to “real food” and stay away from highly-processed food.”

“I teach indoor cycling classes at Electric Studio (@teamelectricph) three times a week, and red cord suspension training class at B+B Pilates (@bbstudiomanila) once a week. I don’t deprive myself of any type of food or subscribe to a diet (I can’t live that way! Plus, I need to eat to have enough energy to workout). I believe in a sustainable formula that I can do for the rest of my life, which is eating everything in moderation and getting my regular dose of cardio and strength training. Also, when I need an extra push, having a workout buddy encourages me to not just stay the course but to keep elevating my fitness goals!”

“For me, fitness is not about seeing quick results. It is a life-long journey to make better choices every day to achieve the best version of myself. I try to find balance between fun and fit by changing my routine frequently to keep myself motivated.”

“The first thing I had to do to change my way of life was to change my mindset so that I would stay disciplined to eat healthy and workout consistently, and because of that I lost 55 pounds in a year! What worked for me this time was finding food I enjoyed eating and a workout that I would look forward to doing every day. Because if we did something we didn’t enjoy we probably would give up by the first week, right?”
