The concept store will serve as the flagship in the country. Taking its visual cues from the second part of the maison’s official name, Balmain Paris, creative director Olivier Rousteing’s sought to transport the City of Lights to the Philippines with the intention of making all Balmain visitors feel the atmosphere of the French capital.

Dedicated to Balmain’s FW21 collections for both men and women’s ready-to-wear as well as some runway, the concept becomes an immersive brand experience for clientele of the storied French fashion house.

The 105-square-meter boutique has been elegantly outfitted in Balmain Paris’ most recent approach to retail, which represents the brand’s continuous renaissance. Boasting a high ceiling and commodious fitting rooms, the structural design renders a feeling of an even bigger space than what it actually is.

Everything from the bold broad strokes down to the exquisite finishes and tiniest detailing evoke Parisian style. The Versailles panels for the flooring and the oak wood panels that line the ceiling of the fitting rooms for instance, or the dark, sultry accents such as the plush black velvet upholstery or the gorgeous Marquina marble counters and podiums.

Rich and unexpected touches are found in the chiseled, polished brass of the entrance door handles and matching this are the frames of the hanging racks rendered in stainless steel finished off in anodized brushed brass.

Unapologetically French, flatteringly modern, and elegantly crafted from the finest material—this is a space where the Balmain Army would feel at home.

Balmain Paris, Manila is at the ground floor of the Shoppes Solaire Resort and Casino; 1 Aseana Avenue, Parañaque. For more information, call 8478-2408.
