The designer’s first fragrance line is “heaven scent.”
Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran has released his first line of lifestyle products, a perfume collection that is named after himself.

Libiran designed the new fragrance line in collaboration with Filipino perfumer Oscar Mejia III. It features two variants in the first collection: Dusk and Dawn.
The Dusk and Dawn perfume sets each contain a soy perfume candle, antibacterial room and linen perfume spray, and perfume reed diffuser.
On one hand, Dusk is an “ode to grace and romance.” It opens with notes of Bamboo and White Tea with hints of Chamomile and Rose in Deep Burgundy—all coated in a flow of Musk and Amber.
On the other hand, Dawn is a “celebration of hope” that harnesses notes of Pomelo and Olive set on a veil of Sampaguita and Patchouli.
Dusk and Dawn are available in limited stocks starting in February. These can be purchased through the Francis Libiran website, as well as its official stores and ateliers.
Each perfume set retails for P6,500.
The Libiran lifestyle
The fashion designer’s foray into fragrances began with a desire to ensure his constant well-being. Thus, he extended his creativity into creating lifestyle products.
“That’s where my idea for perfumes came in. I’ve always wanted to create my own line of scents, because they really aid focus, improve body rhythms, and create a wonderful ambiance. Thus, I thought of starting with home fragrances, especially since everyone is at home most of the time,” Libiran writes on One Mega.
He and his business partner, Arsi Baltazar, started planning everything and looking for Filipino perfume connoisseurs to partner with. Baltazar contacted Mejia, who agreed immediately to create exclusive scents based on Libiran’s vision.
The perfumer said it was a “great pleasure to work with” the designer. He was even given total trust and freedom to combine scent notes together.
Libiran simply told Mejia what he wanted to feel in each scent and the latter’s formulations resulted in the aromas of Dusk and Dawn.
“So, why Dusk and Dawn? Our day begins as soon as the sun rises and ends when it sets. To be at our very best selves, I believe that we should start our day with the right regimen and end it with a simple and relaxing self-care ritual,” Libiran concludes.
