MX Business president and head Dr. TM Roh said that Samsung is making foldable phones mainstream: “With every new foldable, we are innovating without compromise. Every gram, every millimeter, requires an engineering breakthrough… [Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4] raise the bar for productivity so you can work and collaborate seamlessly on the go.”

Roh cited how almost 10 million people used a foldable phone in 2021 alone, with market growth having tripled.

Now, Samsung is collaborating with BTS to usher in the return of foldable phones to the mainstream.

At Galaxy Unpacked 2022, Samsung Electronics premiered two never-before-seen digital films starring BTS. These featured the K-pop boy group at famous public places across major cities.

Filmed locations included Times Square in New York City, Piccadilly Circus in London, Kudamm in Berlin, and COEX in Seoul.

The first digital film, Galaxy x BTS: Unfold your world with Z Flip4, highlighted the said phone as well as the new experiences it offered. This also celebrated Samsung’s newest shade, Bora Purple, in tribute to the band.

Meanwhile, the second video was a new digital film to accompany Over the Horizon 2022 by SUGA of BTS. This reimagines the tune that the BTS rapper participated in producing in 2021 in honor of the ringtone’s 10th anniversary.

With its new larger-than-life campaign, Samsung is telling its users loud and clear—no matter how the future unfolds, by dreaming big, our best moments are still yet to come,” Samsung concluded.
