Charities You Can Donate to That Aid in the Mt. Taal Calamity - The Scene

Just days after the initial eruption of Mt. Taal in Batangas, the ash deposits from its phreatic eruption that rained down across the region and in neighboring areas have caused thousands to evacuate their homes. This leaves many starving and without the resources to survive, here are ways you can help.

Philippine Red Cross

The Philippine Red Cross – Cavite Chapter is collecting donations such as food, water, masks, toiletries. Cash donations are also accepted.

Hope In A Bottle

Hope in a Bottle accepts water pledges for the benefit of supplying water for the affected areas around the eruption. Donations can be made via BPI, GCash, and PayPal.

Ayala Foundation

Ayala Foundation has opened its donation channels for donations. Contributions will be used to aid disaster response initiatives in the affected communities.

Birch Registry

Birch Registry, an Alabang-based online gift registry for weddings, birthdays, and other events, has opened its online fundraiser for donations here.

PAWS

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) which has been actively rescuing abandoned animals in the eruption area, from dogs to horses, is accepting cash donations as well as supplies such as dog food, cat food, cattle feed, and other materials for the care of rescued animals. Caritas Manila

As the social service and development initiative of the Archdiocese of Manila, Caritas Manila is open to cash donations and in kind through their multiple platforms. Check out their social media for more information.
