In partnership with She Talks Asia, Bobbi Brown Philippines fortified its mission to empower women through a spirited discussion embodying its newest mantra “Confident Beauty, Powered by You” on November 10 at Gallery by Chele.
She Talks Asia co-founders Iza Calzado, Bianca Gonzalez, and Lynn Pinugu led the panel discussion. Hosted by Nicole Andersson, they stirred the conversation that championed inclusive beauty, body positivity, and women empowerment.
Calzado, Gonzalez, and Pinugu highlighted the key to lasting, confident beauty: to embrace one’s imperfections, highlight one’s best features, and choose one’s authentic self for the new era of ever-evolving women.
The Glow Bar welcomed guests to try some of the most-loved Bobbi Brown classics for confident, glowing beauty.
Guests also loved being shade-matched by Bobbi Brown beauty artists at the custom engraving station where their Intensive Serum Foundation was personalized through name engraving–a much appreciated personal touch.
Some highlights of the panel discussions include helpful and inspiring quotes we picked up from each of the three panelists about resilience, grit, and vulnerability. Calzado opened up about body image and weight battles by sharing that during her on-going journey of self-love she realized, “My struggles became my strengths.” On the importance of setting boundaries, Pinugu had this to say: “No is a complete sentence,” emphasizing that there is no need to explain or justify. Gonzalez also shared her own insights about the value of self-awareness by saying, “What I feel is important in terms of evolving, in terms of confidence, is really getting to know yourself,” elaborating that what works for one may not work for another. This was echoed by Calzado who agreed that each one of us has our own strengths and that we must honor our own individuality.
