In the recent November cover shoot of Lifestyle Asia, Mond Gutierrez found a minute to relax and share what he is currently up to. “There’s a few things I’m excited about. In a few days, I’m leaving for the States, where I will be hosting the Red Carpet for E! for the People’s Choice Awards.” Mond continued to list down what his busy schedule the next few months had in store for him. Plans include a show called “Goals with Mond” for ABS-CBN’s “I Want” streaming service. For the show, Mond helps people achieve their dreams with the support of his celebrity friends. “For example, we helped someone get their dream job at Sunnies, we also helped someone get fit. It’s really inspiring!” he shared.

A little over a year ago, Mond went through a drastic fitness transformation that caught the attention of media and fans alike. His weight gain during his 20s was the result of a lifestyle of partying, eating, and endlessly working without taking care of himself. “I just wasn’t happy with what I allowed myself to be. I loved fashion, but I couldn’t wear half of the things I wanted. I just wanted to live life more full. I said to myself, 2017 would be my year,” he recalled. Mond then reached out to a local food company that would that would surely catapult his self-love project into new heights.
“I always wanted to lose weight, but I wanted something to pressure me, and that was doing it in a public platform. I wanted to show people that it was a real lifestyle change and not just a three-month thing that I did and then would stop. Till this day, people message me that they’re inspired by what I did. My feed is all about positivity now.”

Today, Mond’s career trajectory is on a rise, with new shows and upcoming projects set to be in motion. His new confidence can be attributed to this pubic resurgence. “It changed my life 100%. It’s like my chapter two. Everything has changed,” he says with a glow in his eye and smile on his face.
