The French artist’s endless enthusiasm and fun-loving personality is evident in each piece. Each boating impressive and precise craftsmanship through the collection’s many curves and lavish materials used. Spring-Summer 18 acts as his “tribute to the season’s ever-changing light” and aims to “display a versatile palette of colors, from blushing nudes evoking the dusks of early spring to bold hues of dazzling summer skies.”

Louboutin introduces three new shoes into his already expansive repertoire. First is the Clover heel, whose quirky, sculpted silhouette acts as a subtle reference to the designer’s whimsical interest in charms. The heel and silhouette epitomizes elegance. It is finished off with a well-defined bow and an ankle-strap heel. On the other hand, the new Gueridon heel is a unique shoe that was inspired by a piece of furniture, in which it was named after. Lastly, the Degrastrass can make women feel like a modern-day Cinderella. It is a transparent pump that has been ornamented with hand-applied crystals.
The collection also finds inspiration in the rich craftsmanship of the chateau life of the past. Gilded colors and beautiful materials like rich velvets, silks, embroidery and strass pay a historic homage to such early fashion figures like Marie-Antoinette and Madam de Pompadour.
