Across the Harbor: Dior Reimagines Hong Kong’s Star Ferry to Celebrate Its Newest Boutique on Canton Road - Lifestyle Asia

The exterior paint, which uses their signature black and white palette, was hand painted for over two months to replicate Maison’s recognizable motif.

After collaborating with the automotive game Gran Turismo 7, where Dior menswear artistic director Kim Jones reimagined a vintage De Tomaso Mangusta, the label takes on a real-life vehicle.

Dior reimagines Hong Kong’s Star Ferry, a service that takes passengers to Kowloon from Hong Kong Island through Victoria Harbor. Branding the ferry is the French house’s head-turning way of celebrating their new boutique located on Canton Road, the country’s luxury shopping street.

The exterior paint, which uses their signature black and white palette, was hand painted for over two months to replicate Maison’s recognizable motif. Meanwhile, inside, the ferry’s passenger seats have been updated as well with custom pillows and even redesigned life jackets.
