To ring in the new decade, Lifestyle Asia recognizes six influential and inspiring figures whose lives exemplify the core of beyond luxury living. To honor their remarkable work across many segments of society, all roads led to the Intramuros Room at Manila House, where the best, brightest, and most beautiful came together for a most worthy cause.

The evening affair, dubbed “Agents of Change,” was a wonderful celebration with the awardees inspiring everyone to go beyond what is expected by leading meaningful lives.

Kerry Tinga and Kyle Tinga received the award for their mom, Kaye Tinga, together with Tessa Prieto-Valdes.

Celebrating milestones

The festivity was not only our first formal affair of the year, as it was also the milestone-marking moment for Lifestyle Asia’s Editor-in-Chief, Dong Ronquillo, as he celebrated his first anniversary with the luxury magazine. Under his reinvented direction, the magazine shifted its gears, focusing to highlight the work and advocacies of inspiring figures in different fields. With his guidance, it only was natural to recognize worthy agents of change, as realized by Catriona Gray, Tessa-Prieto Valdes, Kaye Tinga, Isko Moreno, and Geraldine Roman.

As with tradition, the night began with Dong thanking the guests in attendance, emphasizing that despite the circumstances, the show of support was heartwarming. He then applauded the awardees, recognizing them for their many laudable efforts and contributions to Philippine society. Beyond their stature, these individuals have exhibited how it is to make a lasting impact on numerous lives. While each tells a different story, they all share the common passion and goal of reaching out to people.

At the awarding ceremony, each Agent of Change was recognized for championing charitable endeavors and initiating new efforts as public servants. With a swell and surge of inspiration charging through everyone, a roar of applause greeted the honorees and a toast was given to their bountiful work that will certainly continue in the long run. They also received a bottle of Titania Wine Cellar’s Mouton Cadet Winery, the choice only befitting the theme of the evening affair with how it underwent an environmental-friendly treatment.

As the festivities of the evening continued, guests indulged in the delightful treats of Manila House. Paired with glasses of red and white wines from Titania Wine Cellar, everyone basked in the exhilarating experience of good food and even greater company. Capping off the night of high spirits was the thrilling mix of DJ Christi McGarry and Eduardo Lara, which definitely added to the euphoric energy in the room. In fact, the guests could not help but sing along to and dance to the infectious rhythms and beats that went throughout the night. Of course, these wonderful moments would not have been possible without the enriching help of our sponsors Angkas and Chow Tai Fook.

From this first event of the year alone, we can certainly look forward to the incoming days inspired by the purpose-filled lives of our Agents of Change.
