The Grammy award-winning singer broke down her entire music career into her albums’ eras.

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has been a highly-anticipated event ever since she released the US show dates last year.

After ticketing issues and new song releases, the singer finally kicked it off with a three-hour show last Friday in Glendale, Arizona.

Swift will also be joined by her musician friends at every stop to open the show, including Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, beabadoobee, and more.

The Setlist

The singer’s concert is jam-packed with 44 songs spanning her entire music career. Her latest Grammy Album of the Year, Folklore, was featured the most, followed by Midnights and Lover.

Swift played five songs from Evermore, after reassuring fans that she absolutely loves the album despite her fans joking about how she never talks about it.

She played five songs from 1989, while Reputation and Red got four songs each, including the 10 minute version of “All Too Well.”

Three songs from Fearless made the cut while she only performed one song from Speak Now.

Aside from the standard setlist, Swift will also be including surprise songs which will differ from every tour stop.

On the first night, she performed “Mirrorball” from Folklore and “Tim McGraw” from her self-titled debut album. This means that there are no debut album songs in the official setlist unless it’s one of the surprises.

The Set-Up

Swift treated her fans to an elaborate stage set-up, which included plenty of creative uses of the digital screens and props.

Every album was represented by visuals that suited the mood, from a see-through house to grassy platforms

During her transition from “Tim McGraw” to the Midnights album, the singer dove into an opening on the stage. The screens on the catwalk showed her swimming underwater while the backdrop showed crashing waves.

Needless to say, the crowd was in awe of the amount of detail that went into the whole show.

The Outfits

Along with unique set-ups, Swift also represented each album era in her choice of clothing.

For example, her custom designed Roberto Cavalli gold, fringed mini dress was a nod to a similar dress she wore during her Fearless tour in 2011.

Cavalli also designed her outfits for her 1989 and Reputation sets with an embroidered Rhombus top and mini skirt look and embroidered snake catsuit respectively.

Swift opened her Lover set wearing a glitzy Versace bodysuit paired with shimmery Christian Louboutin boots.

For “Lavender Haze” from the Midnights album, she wore a faux fur lavender coat by Oscar de la Renta. During her Folklore section, the singer chose gauzy prairie gowns by Alberta Ferretti and Etro.

“Enchanted,” a song straight out of a fairy tale, was matched with a princess gown by Nicole + Felicia. Best believe she’s still bejeweled when she walks in the room!

Swift still has 50 stops of her US tour to go, meaning she’s booked and busy until August. Even with her packed schedule, the singer promises to announce international dates as soon as they can.
