Life is a Game of Fun

Okada Manila features one of the largest casinos in the entirety of Manila, occupying a total of 41,543.9 square meters with 500 tables, and 3,000 slot machines to meet every gaming need. As they like to say, life is a game of luck, and what better way to try that luck in one of the city’s most premium gaming locations? Gaming options include everything from High Limit Tables to Junket and VIP Salons, and Electronic Gaming. After winning big at the tables, might we suggest you check out Cove Manila to celebrate in Vegas-like fun?

Cove Manila is the largest indoor beach club and nightclub in the Philippines, that offers a temperature-controlled environment in its dome. This means you can enjoy summer parties all year round without ever having to leave the city. The super club is proud of their amenities, stating that they have some of the most advanced audio, video and ambient lighting technologies equipped in a club in Manila. The entire club can hold a maximum capacity of 3,500 guests. Last month, they held a press launch of their What’s Good Sundays brunch parties (which you can read about here), which happens every Sunday. For certain package prices, enjoy unlimited drinks and food while enjoying the beats of internationally-acclaimed DJs. It’s the ideal hangover cure after partying at Cove Manila the night before.

A staycation in Okada Manila is never complete without fully indulging yourself. The food options at Okada Manila are also impressive, satisfying any cravings, from traditional Asian cuisine to Western favorites. There is the Lobby Lounge, which offers more than a comforting ambience, but also a selection of full meals. The Pastry Shop, showcases a variety of intricately-designed cakes, pralines, and pastries that are ideal souvenirs or gifts for loved ones. The intricate layout features seven live cooking stations, where guests can watch culinary masters prepare their food from scratch, using only the freshest of imported ingredients.

Red Spice was created for those with intense Chinese food cravings any time of day. We recommend binging on their dim sum, hand-pulled noodles or specially made roast duck, which is cooked in a custom-made oven. Okada Manila’s selection of premium fine dining options are endlessly enjoyable. Filipino rice bowls can be enjoyed at Kiapo. For those who want Japanese fare, Japanese Kappou Imamura is at your disposal. There’s also Ginza Nagaoka, which only seats ten diners, giving them a preview of true sushi craftsmanship. Goryeo Korean Dining is an upscale version of the typical Korean barbeque experience, featuring imported meats in their centuries-old recipes. La Piazza Trattoria and Ristorante has a wine collection of over 2,000 bottles, which are best paired with its fine Italian gastronomical fare.

Yu Lei is one of Okada Manila’s very best dining outlets. They serve traditional Chinese and Shanghainese cuisine with a modern punch. The fine dining restaurant is run by Chef Mikiya Imagawa, whose culinary imagination goes through the roof. Enjoy dishes such as his variations of abalone, sea cucumber, and fish maw, which have earned him rave reviews.  The Okada Lounge is the place to go when wanting to enjoy and savor the best cigars in the world. They have seasoned tobacconists at your disposal to give you recommendations on what to smoke and drink, and how to pair them. Lastly, Enbu, which is best known for their traditional Japanese grill and robatayaki offerings, has a unique view of Okada Manila’s iconic fountain, which shoots the dining experience to whole new heights, especially when the light show comes on.

The Majesty of Lights

Remember that scene in the first Steven Soderbergh Ocean’s Eleven movie, when after pulling off their mission, our lead characters stand at the front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas, staring at the light show of one of the most famous fountains in America? In the Philippines, we too, have a famous fountain. That is The Fountain at Okada Manila, a $30 million investment, and the world’s largest multicolor dancing water feature measuring a sprawling 37,464 square meters in size.

Considered one of resort’s signature and main tourist attractions, the fountain performs magic every hour from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (on Sundays to Thursday) and 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM (on Fridays and Saturdays), with their impressive light, water and sound performances. This all because it is equipped with innovative underwater robotics, more than 2,000 lights, 700 high power jets, and ton of high-powered speakers, making the show at the Fountain quite a majestic sight. It’s as if the light and water has a life of their own, dancing to choreography good enough for a Fantasia movie. Some songs used for the performance include “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith and “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey, amongst others.

There are countless things to experience at Okada Manila. From playing in one of the biggest casinos in Asia to relaxing in your sprawling bedrooms, eating and shopping to your hearts content at one of the multiple outlets, or watching the majestic light and water show by the fountain, the choice is yours. It all begins by simply making that hotel booking.
