Luxury camera brand Leica has announced the release of the Leica TL2, a new model that combines a sleek exterior design with innovative features and unmatched picture and video performance. The new compact camera concept is tailor-made for the new generation of photography lovers. Made from a single block of aluminum, this feat of engineering is the next must-have camera. Brilliant Picture and Video Quality
A newly developed 24-megapixel CMOS sensor in APS-C format combined with the Maestro II series high-performance processor has been built into the Leica TL2. This guarantees excellent picture quality, boasting impressive sharpness, fine resolution in the details, extraordinary dynamic range, contrast and color rendition. It’s video capabilities boast an array of various recording modes such as 4K (3840 x 2160p at 30 frames per second), Full HD (1920 x 1080p at 60 frames per second), HD (1280 x 720p at 60 frames per second or slow motion captured at 120 frames per second). The TL2’s AF speed and precision is also notable, capturing subjects sharply in only 165 milliseconds, three times faster than its predeceasing model. The shutter is now electronically controlled and can shoot in a maximum rate from 7 to a maximum of 20 frames per second.

Convenience Reinvented
Leica TL2 models are built to be easy to use and convenient for its users. The newly integrated Wi-Fi module function can easily transfer pictures and videos wirelessly from the camera straight to smartphones, tablets and PCs, with no need for a cable. Data transfers are quicker then lighting due to the built-in HDMI and USB 3.0 ports. When battery is low, it can be conveniently charged through the USB port through a power bank or laptop computer. Sharing memories online are made easy as well. The new model allows quick uploads via email to Facebook, Instagram, and other social media apps.
Android and iOs device users may get the Leica TL-App, allowing their tablets and smartphones to become electronic viewfinders for their newly taken images. It may also act as a remote control that adjusts various things such as the exposure, aperture, and shutter speed. This makes it easier to capture images while using the self-timer. Furthermore, the inclusion of MyCamera menu (a user interface that can be edited to further assist a photographer’s particular needs) makes shooting much faster and more convenient. One can personalize it, accessing their most used features and presets with just a quick click of a button the camera’s 3.7″ LCD touchscreen pad (which is eight times faster than the original).

The new model is impressively made out of a single block of aluminum from the Leica factory. Available in two different colors (silver and black), it has chamfered edges on the body, resulting to sleek, modern look.
