Aivee Teo is one of the busiest women in the biz. The celebrity dermatologist runs her company, The Aivee Group, with her husband Z, like a well-oiled machine. Their award-winning treatments have made them a preferred clinic for many of Manila’s elite, and they continue to educate themselves with the newest practices, so that the company never falls behind international standards. With such a busy schedule managing her beauty empire, it was no surprise to see Dr. Aivee kicking it back for her recent birthday party, jetting off to Hong Kong for much needed R&R. “This year, I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my family in a simple way,” she shared. “I am usually very busy with work, so when I have the chance to spend quality time with the kids, I take the time off. Hong Kong isn’t too far from Manila and my family I always enjoy when we visit.”
Time at Hong Kong was spent bonding with the children and making new family memories. “We really enjoyed the simple things,” Dr. Aivee shared with Lifestyle Asia. Amongst their most memorable activities was a meal at Caprice, a French restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel. The rest of the trip was spent ordering room service, watching movies, and going on food trips at local eateries. The shoot was very natural, nothing felt staged—it was a nice afternoon spent with the family. After the birthday holiday in Hong Kong, Dr. Aivee was in for one more surprise when returning home to Manila. One of her dear friends invited her to a dinner at the Shangri-La at Fort. Upon arriving, she was escorted into a room where she found her Aivee clinic staff, employees, family and friends present for a surprise birthday bash. “I was so surprised that it really took a while for me to figure out what was really going on. Each guest greeted me as I walked in with a rose, and even my children were there waiting for me. It was a magical evening, which I truly appreciated,” she nostalgically shared.
During the event, Dr. Aivee was serenaded by Denise Laurel and Kris Lawrence, whom she calls “dear patients of The Aivee Clinic.” “I was so touched by all of those who came, and of course the effort it took to plan such a sweet celebration for my birthday. I am blessed to have all these people in my life,” Aivee said.
