Luxury hotels all around the metro are preparing for Oktoberfest, the iconic German tradition that has been around for hundreds of years. It all began in 1810, as the weeklong wedding celebration of Prince Ludwig I and his new bride, Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. The streets of Munich were filled with well-wishers—merrily singing, dancing and drinking beer from day in to day out. The festival became so popular that it was continued each year and held between late September to the first week of October. Millions of people from all over the world have joined the tradition in good spirits. This year, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is joining in on the hype, with their version of Oktoberfest at Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge.

Starting on September 26, 2018, the signature outlet at the luxury hotel will begin serving authentic Bavarian sausages and beer in honor of the German festival. With panoramic views of Metro Manila coupled with good drinks and gastronomical fare, Vu’s has gained popularity with urbane locals. “Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge adds a sophisticated air to this year’s Oktoberfest celebrations by showcasing imported German sausages that are best paired with Paulaner beer,” they shared in a statement.

For PHP 999.000, get a platter of freshly grilled sausages (straight off of the restaurant’s live cooking stations) with a half-litter of Paulaner Beer from the tap.
