The Couple That Paints Together Stays Together -

They say opposites attract and that is the case between contemporary artists Clairelynn Uy and Joseph Lofranco who also happen to be husband and wife. Mind The Gap at the Provenance Gallery is their first major exhibition together as husband and wife after 23 years of marriage. Their artistic styles are completely different from each other, Clairelynn focuses on creating pieces with masterful technique that enhances reality rather than depicting it in a pop-art fashion while James’ art is a result of an outstanding fusion of accident and control leaving the viewer to interpret his pieces in their own way. Art aficionados and other artists enjoyed the opening of the exhibit with special cocktails and champagne with music provided by DJ Kokoy Puyat. Seen at the event were Monique and Dara Villonco, artist Jeremy Tallent, The CompanY’s Moy Ortiz, Anne Marie Saguil, Xavier Btesh and Maritess Pineda.
