These Are The Poshest Bars In Manila Right Now -

If you do not have a penchant for basking in the ever-vibrant December energy, a month filled to the brim with endless parties, reunions, and overflowing booze, you may now leave. It’s our favorite time of the year once again, where spontaneous nights out three times a week (at a minimum) is justifiable.

Of course, we’re ending this year in an extra festive, extra sophisticated manner. In line with the latter, here are some of the poshest bars to consider when driven to cap the night late (or early in the morning), best enjoyed in multiple ways–with friends, loved ones, or even on your own.

The Dalmore Lounge

0 OPENER OPTION 1

Located at Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City, the newly opened Dalmore Lounge sits proudly, housing a treasure trove of “liquid gold.” Lined along the walls are rare whiskies from the Scottish distillery opened in 1839, as well as a display of 21 rare bottles from the Constellation collection, valued at P18 million.

Guests can also enjoy the bar’s VIP space, Dalmore’s Keeper’s Den, where patrons can acquire one of the 84 vaults to store their rare bottles of alcohol.

Dulo

5 DULO

Getting its name because of its location at the outskirts of Poblacion, Dulo is a haven for art lovers. The bar’s concept is to mimic underground clubs in terms of vibe and feel. Cocktails are best enjoyed by the dark bar, lit only by a few yellow bulbs on the shelf and a neon blue logo. Upstairs, a large empty space is available for commission for young aspiring artists to put up their own exhibit.

Dulo is located at 3922 P Guanzon St., Poblacion, Makati City.

Polilya

The purple neon sign over the bar reads, “Have you figured out what you want yet?” at Polilya, it may be difficult to decide, especially with a menu as unique and interesting as theirs. Here, serving well-done bar chow such as mussels cooked with beer, mustard oil, and coconut broth served with roti is a norm. Located at the heart of Poblacion, the bar acts as the unofficial flagship for Engkanto products. Their beer varietals are available for consumption, amidst a menu of other specialty cocktails.

Tomatito

11 TOMATITO

11 TOMATITO GIN AND TONIC

Chef Carlo Franco’s kitchen creations at Tomato can spice up a night of drinking with friends. His Instagram- famous tapas are worthy of a trip to the Fort restaurant-bar. Specialties like the Salmon TnT, made using balik salmon topped with honey and truffle, is an explosion of flavor in one’s mouth. Drinking a jug of sangria or a personalized gin & tonic adds to the experience.

Tomatito is located at 30th Street corner 11th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City.

The Hotel Bar At Pink’s

12 THE HOTEL BAR PINKS SPEAK EASY

While Pink’s has been serving good ole’ fashion American hotdogs in Manila for several years now, something has been brewing backstage beyond our knowledge. Behind two large doors is an elusive speakeasy created by the same team behind Wild Flour, Pharmacy and the hotdog joint.

Created with the concept of a bar that people should “stumble upon”, The Hotel Bar, or what is commonly referred to as the “speakeasy behind Pink’s,” features dark wooden furnishing, minimal seating, and 11 classic cocktails created by the guys behind the curator. The best thing about the Hotel bar is that Pink’s is open until the late hours, allowing patrons to grab a bite anytime they’re craving for late night drunchies (drunken munchies).

The Hotel Bar At Pink’s is located at Shangri-La at The Fort, 3rd Street corner 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City
