The Annual MEGA Pinoy Pride Ball -

Millennials dressed in their best modern Filipino outfits and filled the Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams for Mega magazine’s Pinoy Pride Ball. The annual party is awaited on the social calendar every Independence Day. This year, the fashion magazine had a relatively young guest list, making the year’s #NewPH awardees purely those from the millennial generation. The award is given out to Filipinos who are making a difference in the country or in world as a global Filipino. Amongst the awardees was Lifestyle Asia’s very own Editor-at-Large Cheryl Tiu, who founded the Cross Cultures platform that promotes other cultures through food. MovEd’s Alex Eduque was also honored that evening for her contributions in philanthropy and for promoting better education for the marginalized youth. Three awardees that excel in fashion design prepared new collections for the Mega stage. Patty Ang, Mark Bumgarner and John Herera accepted their awards together and shared a bow after the fashion presentation. Outside the foyer, the photo loving youngsters maximized the three sets built from scratch for photographers Mark Nicdao, Dookie Ducay and Cyrus Panginiban. The young guest list was filled with familiar faces that all knew each other. Even when the program was through, they took over the venue and set up turntables so that the party would never stop. Bubbly, a variety of wine, and vodka was abundant till the wee hours of the morning.
