In Lifestyle Asia’s upcoming November issue, we’re making it known that the heart of fashion is found not in the clothes, but in the wearer.
As we currently live in a world run by violent ideologies and obnoxious megalomaniacs, it is disappointing to see how a simple concept such as being kind has become so complicated to most—almost foreign. And so in the midst of all this, we found it very fitting to reverberate (and reiterate) that kindness, love, and generosity will always be in fashion—and in such trying times like this, we believe that the latter is needed now more than ever.
Thankfully, the universe thrives in contrasts; in every yang lies a corresponding yin, and in our case, the latter comes in the form of our Fashion issue cover girl Patty Ang—a young, luminous fashion designer and bride-to-be, clad in all things love.
The beaming bride-to-be exclusively shares with us her life as a once-single mother, being a daughter to CATS Motors’ proprietor Felix Ang, and starting her journey as a thriving, young entrepreneur in a dog-eat-dog world.
With the holidays rushing towards us at the speed of light, we see this moment very opportune to challenge our readers to make love the new reason for the season; Put it in fashion. Make it into art. Wear it on your sleeve. Be the influence.
Take it from Tom Ford who states that “Real fashion change comes from real changes in real life. Everything else is just decoration.”
