Planetang Dagat, the Filipino version of the full-length documentary Planet Ocean by award-winning filmmakers Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot screened in Manila last August at the Bonifacio High Street Cinema 3. A good mix of educators, students, dignitaries and environmentalists gathered for the premier hosted by Jewelmer, Save Palawan Seas Foundation and the Philippine Coast Guard 402nd Auxilliary Squadron. Jewelmer’s very own Jaques Brenellec a captain of the Save Palawan Seas Foundation started of the program with a few words on the urgency to save the environment. Narrated by veteran voice actor Peter Musngi, best known as the voice of ABS-CBN, the film gave an in-depth view of the connection of mankind with planet earth and our responsibility to protect and preserve it.
