3 Reasons We're Excited for MaArTEA at The Peninsula Manila -

unnamed

The Peninsula Manila transforms their Afternoon Tea treats into edible art inspired by the scents, colors, and textures of Philippine-made treasures from MaArte Fair 2017. Executive Pastry Chef Xavier Castello heads his team for the special MaArTEA Afternoon Tea which will run all throughout the month of August, in collaboration of the annual fair that celebrates Philippine artistry. The fair will be held at the third floor Gallery of the Peninsula Manila from August 11 to 13. We’ve listed three reasons why we’re excited about MaArTEA Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula:

Afternoon Tea for a Good Cause

Organized by the Museum Foundation of the Philippines for the National Museum of the Philippines, the MaArte Fair presents a versatile array of world-class Filipino products. Jewelry, fashion needs, accessories, decorative pieces and home items from emerging designers and local artisans will be sold during the duration of the fair form August 11 to 13. The Peninsula Manila, MaArte’s esteemed partner, has altered their Afternoon Tea, following the event’s theme of celebrating Filipino artistry and dubbing the occasion as MaArTEA. Part of the proceeds of MaArTEA will be donated to the Museum Foundation of the Philippines. It will be served daily during the month of August from 2:30 to 5:30 pm in the afternoon, with the addition of the Traditional Philippine Merienda Buffet from Fridays through Sundays. It will be priced at P995 per guest or P1,680 with a flute of Champagne.

Bask in the Splendor of the Peninsula Manila Lobby

Guests and visitors come to the Peninsula Manila to bask in its old world glory. Top services, outstanding amenities and well curated gastronomic outlets have always been the mark of a true Peninsula experience. The Manila branch also boasts the impressive lobby that features the stunning “Sunburst” sculpture by National Artist Napoleon Abueva. The Lobby has found devoted fans not only because of its sheer splendor, but because of the delicious eats it has to offer. A popular time of day is afternoon tea, where guests can enjoy their favorite daytime snacks, tea, and a selection of confections all under the golden light and grandeur of one of Manila’s most esteemed hotels.

Culinary Delights with Filipino Flare

Favorite day snacks, nibbles and confections with a Filipino twist will be served at the Pen’s lobby for the MaArTEA Afternoon Tea. The classic sampaguita macarons, jasmine tea-infused ganache tartlets, mango cheesecake pouches and caramel millefeuilles will be available for those with a sweet tooth. For more savory options, the feta-spinach sundried tomato quiches, Pamora chicken salad with celery, truffle aioli and arugula, Parma ham, olive tapenade and confit tomato sandwiches, and smoked salmon will dill cream cheese and lemon jam will truly satisfy the taste buds. There will also be a selection of organic MaArTEAs like the Sampaguita Pearl by da-u-de, the Coco Melange from the rice terraces of Ifugao, and the Sagada Tips which has been harvested from the slopes of the Cordilleras, the latter are both produced by Tsaa Laya.
