You Can Now Adopt a Philippine Eagle -

Adopt an Eagle Toy

In 1992, the Philippine Eagle Foundation bred Pag-asa (Hope) and Pagkakaisa (Unity), the first Philippine Eagles born and raised in captivity. It was a banner year for the non-government, non-profit organization that has been fighting for the preservation of the endangered avian also considered the national bird. The foundation has been helping in the preservation of Philippine Eagles since 1965. The birth of Pag-asa and Pagkakaisa sparked public interest and support. With the milestone, more resources were pulled to fund research and projects related to the cause. Today, there are only 400 known Philippine Eagles that exist.

Luxury hotel chain Marco Polo has recently joined in the cause to help save the Philippine Eagle by releasing a limited edition Philippine Eagle stuffed toy, now available at Front Desk of the hotel. It is an ideal gift idea for the youth, and is a creative way of sparking interest among the younger individuals. Sales proceeds for these toys will be given to the foundation’s breeding and conservation programs.

“Marco Polo Ortigas wants to take part in wildlife conservation. The goal of this partnership is to raise funds for the campaign, as well as to raise awareness for the foundation so more people can participate in protecting the national bird. We invite our guests to join us in this project,” shared Marco Polo Ortigas Manila General Manager Frank Reichenbach.

Marco Polo Ortigas is located at Meralco Avenue, San Antonio, Pasig. For more information, log on to <marcopolohotels.com> or phone (2) 720 77 77.
