Exaggerated silhouettes, clashing fabrics, rainbow, floral, graffiti, camouflage, fleece, rubber, lace, acrylics, maximalist. These are word we never thought we would use to describe the classic British brand Burberry. However, English fashion house has decided it is time to break the rules by putting all of these concepts together in a single collection. Burberry has started a new fashion revolution, while paying homage to their heritage through their new February 2018 capsule collection that “reflects their past, celebrates the present, and heralds in the future.” Do we love it? Absolutely!
For this week’s Beauty Break, we jump right into the latest fashion show done by the English label. They have reissued pieces from the brand’s iconic archives, and have re-released them for the new runway collection. New partner locations such as Dover Street Market and Browns Shoreditch in London, Isetan in Tokyo, Antonio in Milan, and The Store at Soho House in Berlin will be carrying the new collection very soon (wait for the drop announcement fashion lovers!). This show also marks the last collection of young Burberry President Christopher Bailey, who has designed over 100 collections and helmed over 66 runways shows in different locations around the world for the brand. It is no doubt that the young gentleman is going out with a chipper bang through this mind-boggling capsule collection.
