Hugh Hefner, the iconic founder of Playboy magazine has passed away at 91 due to natural causes. The publishing magnet founded the niche gentleman’s magazine in 1953, after borrowing $8000 to put it up. Combining nude photographs of women, intelligent interviews, people profiles, and human interest stories, Playbook magazine soon became a media empire. Hefner branched out to other media over his 60 year career including television, video, and film. He is survived by his four children Cooper, Christie, Marston and David Hefner.
